What actually gets removed when you delete something

Deletion doesn't work the same way for every type of record in the platform. Here's specifically what happens.

Written plainly, on purpose
No vague reassurances, just what's actually true today.
01

Deleting a lead

The lead record itself is removed, but its call log is deliberately not deleted along with it. The underlying database relationship is set up so that removing a lead doesn't cascade into deleting its call history.

02

Call recordings and transcripts still age out after 14 days

Independent of whether a lead is deleted, the recording and transcript for any call are only retrievable for 14 days, matching our voice provider Vapi's retention window. The call log entry and outcome can remain visible after that, but the raw audio and transcript won't.

03

For deletion requests beyond standard behavior

If you need something removed sooner than its normal retention window, such as a specific call recording ahead of the 14 day mark, or full account data, reach out to our team directly to discuss it.

Frequently asked

Not immediately. The call log is preserved and remains viewable, labeled as belonging to a deleted lead, though the recording and transcript are only retrievable for 14 days from the call regardless of lead deletion.
