How long your data actually stays, and why
Retention isn't the same for every type of data in the platform. Here's specifically what's kept, for how long, and what deleting something actually does.
Call recordings and transcripts: 14 days
Call recordings and transcripts are retained for 14 days, matching the retention window of our voice infrastructure provider, Vapi. After 14 days, the underlying audio and transcript are no longer retrievable.
The call log entry and outcome data persist beyond that
The call log record itself, including the AI generated summary and outcome (booked, not booked, etc.), remains in your account history after the 14 day window, even though the raw recording and full transcript are no longer available.
Deleting a lead doesn't delete its call history
If you delete a lead record, its associated call log remains (subject to the 14 day recording/transcript window above), labeled as belonging to a deleted lead.
Frequently asked
That's the retention window used by Vapi, our voice infrastructure provider, for call recordings and transcripts. We don't currently retain a separate copy beyond that window.
