How call recordings are stored and accessed
Every call produces a recording alongside its transcript. Here's how that recording is actually handled, from creation to the end of its retention window.
Every call is recorded by default
Recording happens automatically as part of placing the call, there's no separate setting to turn it on for a specific campaign.
Recordings are available for 14 days
The recording and transcript are retrievable through your Calls page for 14 days after the call, matching the retention window of our voice provider, Vapi. After that, the audio and transcript are no longer accessible, even though the call log entry and outcome remain.
Access is through your account
Within the 14 day window, recordings are available for playback directly from the call record in your dashboard, accessible to whoever on your team has access to your Dialbotix account.
Frequently asked
Recording happens by default across the platform. If you have a specific requirement to disable it, reach out to our team to discuss it directly.
More security topics
This page describes, plainly, what data moves through Dialbotix, where it goes, and what protections are actually in place today, rather than a generic security statement.
Running a call involves more than one system working together. Here are the specific named services involved, and what each one is responsible for.
Retention isn't the same for every type of data in the platform. Here's specifically what's kept, for how long, and what deleting something actually does.
