Voice agent CRM integration

Connecting a voice agent to a CRM generally happens one of two ways, a native, pre built connection for widely used CRMs, or a webhook and API based connection that works with essentially any CRM that supports outbound automation.

Native connections

For CRMs with a native integration, the connection is typically a direct authorization step, after which new or qualifying records automatically flow into a calling campaign, and call outcomes get written back to the CRM record without additional setup.

Webhook and API based connections

For any other CRM, the standard approach is triggering a webhook from the CRM's own automation tools whenever a record meets your criteria, sending it to a calling campaign, and using the API to write outcomes back if two way sync is needed.

What to consider when choosing an approach

Native connections require less setup but only exist for specific CRMs. Webhook based connections work with nearly any system but need to be configured, either directly or through a tool like Zapier or Make, and typically require separate setup for writing outcomes back.

Frequently asked

This varies by platform, widely used CRMs are more likely to have a native integration, while more specialized or smaller CRMs usually rely on webhook based connections instead.
